Privacy Policy

Spanbe keeps personal data limited to what we need to run the waitlist, deliver the ebook, document consent, remember your return on the same device, and protect the service across the markets we may operate in.

What we collect

We collect the email address you submit, an optional first name, cookie preference, consent evidence, and technical metadata such as your browser, referral source, and IP address. If you open the ebook, we also record the format you chose, the event that the download started, and a first-party device-memory cookie so the same browser can recognize that your ebook access was already confirmed.

Why we use it

We use this data to send the ebook, send waitlist and launch emails, honour unsubscribe requests, protect the service from abuse, remember your return on the same device, and improve the landing page. Our main legal bases are consent, contract performance, legitimate interests, and legal obligation where applicable. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Marketing, waitlist, and regional rules

We run the signup around consent-based email marketing principles so the flow is compatible with laws such as the GDPR and UK GDPR, PECR and other ePrivacy rules, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Canada's anti-spam law, the U.S. CAN-SPAM framework, and similar rules in other regions. Joining the waitlist does not itself turn on optional analytics or advertising cookies. Marketing emails should always include an unsubscribe method and operational messages may still be sent when needed to complete a request you already made.

Sharing and transfers

We share data with service providers that help us run the site, including email delivery, hosting, storage, database infrastructure, and optional analytics if you activate them. Those providers may process data in the United States or other countries with different privacy laws, and we use appropriate contractual or operational safeguards where required.

Retention

We keep waitlist and consent records while your request is active and for as long as needed to meet legal, audit, and security obligations. The return-visitor device memory is stored for up to 12 months unless you clear it sooner. If you ask us to delete your data, we will delete or anonymize it where we are allowed to do so, while keeping any limited suppression record needed to respect your unsubscribe choice.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. For requests, contact privacy@spanbe.com or use the details on the Data Rights page.

Sensitive data and minors

The waitlist form is not designed for you to submit medical records, diagnosis details, or other special-category health data. Please do not send that through the landing page. Spanbe is intended for adults, or for younger users only where a parent, guardian, or other lawful basis allows it under local law.
